Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Services

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Services

One of the most effective interventions used to treat Autism is Applied Behavior Analysis or ABA. This is a widely accepted approach that has been shown to improve the symptoms of Autism in children. ABA draws on the principles of learning theory in order to improve social behaviors to a significant degree. Teaching methods and procedures focus on reinforcing productive and functional behaviors while reducing non-productive or unwanted behaviors. Measurable outcomes and data collection ensures ongoing monitoring and intervention effectiveness. Thousands of research studies have shown that an intensive early intervention using ABA is highly effective.

Please refer to CDC website about Autism Treatment for more information.  https://www.cdc.gov/ncbddd/autism/treatment.html

Who Should Provide ABA Intervention?

An ABA program should be designed by and supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with implementation of interventions by Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT). Our staff is supervised by BCBA-D (a Clinical Psychologist that is also a Board Certified Behavior Analyst) and our highly trained therapists consist of Registered Behavioral Technicians (RBT) with comprehensive didactic and clinical training.

Our ABA program works with children ages 18 months to 8 years old. Commonly, health insurance should cover this service. ABA services are provided in the home, clinic, and community settings.
